Azonto driver says he is innocent

The “Azonto” bus driver claimed he has evidence to prove he is innocent.

Ritesh Kumar is currently on his way to Suva from the West to explain his actions to the CEO of Land Transport Authority Naisa Tuinaceva this afternoon.

Kumar further claimed that he was dancing when the bus was not moving and that someone has made the video look like it is moving.

He said he will produce his evidence only to LTA.

In the video, which is loaded on youtube, the driver stands up while driving, shaking his hip to the “Azonto” song, leaving the steering wheel, dancing and lifting one leg and driving the public service vehicle packed with cheering passengers.

The video was sent to LTA by some concerned citizens as they said the dangers involved with such drivers not understanding the importance of driving a vehicle are huge.
