Avatar: The Way of Water has slipped from the box office Top 5 for the first time ever.
The James Cameron sequel premiered at No. 1 on December 16th last year and held that spot for seven consecutive weeks; on its way to grossing over $2 billion and becoming the No. 3 highest-grossing film of all time worldwide.
It was eventually knocked down from No. 1 in the first weekend of February by Knock at the Cabin, with the subsequent releases Magic Mike's Last Dance and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania then replacing the M. Night Shyamalan thriller at the top.
This marks the first time the film has been out of the weekend's Top 5, and the first time it has ranked lower than No. 4.
