Australian government to provide 19 new patrol boats to combat transnational crimes

The Australian government is to provide 19 new patrol boats for the Pacific to combat new forms of transnational crimes in the region.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Julie Bishop, has told a Pacific Foreign Affairs Ministers meeting in Suva that they will table a plan for greater regional security at next month's Pacific Islands Forum Leaders' meeting in Samoa.
