Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation says the Auditor General is not entitled to question the merit of policy objectives of a government.
While speaking on the Review of the Performance Audit Report on the Coordination of Actions on Elimination of Violence Against Women, Vuniwaqa says they see numerous findings and recommendations of the Auditor General’s Report questioning the merit of policy objectives of a government.
Vuniwaqa says it has stepped outside of the law.
She says the audit must stay within its legal premise set up under Section 6A of the Audit Act.
