Aspen Medical has launched the Hospitality Cart Program with Ronald McDonald House Charities Fiji (RMHC) at the Lautoka Hospital to provide comprehensive support to families with seriously ill children admitted to the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The hospitality cart will provide a range of essential items including hygiene packs, water, snacks, activity books and puzzles.
Aspen Hospital says all these items are provided free of charge to families, ensuring they can focus on their child's health without having to leave the ward to purchase them.
Aspen Medical’s CEO in Fiji, Gavin Whiteside says this is a program which will help the families of our young patients during their time at Lautoka Hospital.
Whiteside says dealing with an sick child can be very stressful, and they are privileged to be able to work with Ronald McDonald House Charities to offer some relief to the families and children.
He adds this is Ronald McDonald House Charities Fiji's third program and a first for the Lautoka Hospital.
RMHC Fiji members and volunteers will operate the cart at least three times weekly within the paediatric wards.
