As at 11am today, voter turnout in the 2022 general elections is 27.24 percent.
164,954 have been reported to have voted at 1,145 polling stations.
606,092 people are listed to vote at allocated polling stations today.
Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says right now, the turnout is not looking very promising and he imploring to every Fijian to come out and vote.
Saneem says as the day progresses, there will be more people turning up.
He says the queues at polling stations have now dwindled down which means if you go to vote now, you should go directly into the polling station, vote and go home.
He says because of the need for transport, the Fijian Elections Office has continued with the provision of free transport even after 12pm today.
Saneem says you can text your voter card number to 1500 and get the details of the Advisory Councillors who are managing transport in your area who will let you know when the next scheduled trip around your residence will be.
He has also clarified to the FEO staff that they have to let the polling agents in and there is no requirement to have their agent appointment form stamped.
