Around 10,000 people lined up to register to vote and change their voters details yesterday upon the issuance of the Writ of Elections.
This was highlighted by the Supervisor for Elections Mohammed Saneem on the special talk back, Straight Talk with our News Director, Vijay Narayan on our sister station, Viti FM.
Saneem says that there were 60 elections operation venues yesterday.
He says that most of the people had showed up to change their voter details.
Saneem says as of the 17th of September there were 634, 120 registered voters.
He says that they expect to increase polling stations to 2,167 this year compared to 2,028 polling stations in 2014.
