Memebers of the The Subrails Army team.

The Army rugby team will be known as Subrails Army in the FMF Sukuna Bowl after receiving $5000 from Subrails today.

Subrails Managing Director Shiva Gounder says this is a milestone as it will also enable them to do their part in helping the needy children of the country since this year’s Sukuna Bowl is a charity event.

Army Rugby Chairman Aseri Rokoura has thanked Subrails for the sponsorship despite most businesses in Fiji facing the effects of COVID-19.

A number of household names such as Fiji 7s captain Meli Derenalagi, Manasa Saulo, Jone Manu, John Stewart and Isireli Ledua are expected to feature for Army.

Army won the Sukuna Bowl last year after beating Police 20-17 at the ANZ Stadium.

The Sukuna Bowl will be played at 4.30pm Friday and you can catch the live commentary on Viti FM.
