Arisha Indian Cuisine owner Shaneel Prakash is calling on people to support small businesses as it reduces income inequality.
Prakash says he has been in the business for three years and usually opens stalls during carnivals and other events around Viti Levu.
He also had a stall during the recent Miss Hibiscus Festival and with the help of his wife, they managed to recover the $2,000 down payment for Hibiscus by Tuesday.
Prakash says they sell Indian dishes, BBQ, subs and hotdogs and people did enjoyed the food they were served with.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Government says through targeted capacity-building programmes, improved access to finance and enhanced market linkages, they seek to nurture MSMEs’ entrepreneurial spirit and enable them to thrive in both local and international markets.
