Archbishop Mataca passes away

The late Archbishop Emeritus Petero Mataca

Archbishop Emeritus Petero Mataca has passed away.

Vicar General Father Sulio Turaga Kacivi said that Archbishop Mataca passed away after a long sickness at the Suva Private Hospital yesterday.

Father Kacivi said Mataca went for treatment in New Zealand and returned in April early this year.
