Chairman of the Great Council of Chiefs, Ratu Viliame Seruvakula has made it clear that if any chief wants to be a GCC member, they will have to come in without any political affiliation.
Ratu Viliame says they will stick to the rules.
He says this is part and parcel of moving away from politics and being apolitical.
He also highlighted that a challenge to Vanua leadership is when chiefs start changing their minds.
Ratu Viliame also highlighted that the Prime Minister’s life membership was not discussed during their meeting and it has been deferred.
