Another earthquake recorded this afternoon, however it does not pose any threat of a Tsunami

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 16km west of Yasawa-i-rara at 3.42 this afternoon.

It was an offshore earthquake and occurred at a depth of 10km.

According to the Seismology Unit, this tremor does not pose any immediate tsunami threat to the region.

This tremor was felt in some parts of the Western Division.
