An unfortunate accident has resulted in the death of a one-year-old child, who is believed to have drowned in a bucket of water.
Police say the incident occurred in Nalawa, Ra yesterday afternoon.
Police say it is alleged that the victim was found motionless in a bucket of water inside a neighbour’s residence.
Attempts to revive her proved futile and she was conveyed to the Nasau Health Centre where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators will be looking into the element of negligence.
