All schools in Labasa area will remain closed today due to heavy rain and flooding

Shiri Gurunanak Khalsa College in Labasa which was flooded at 9.30am Thursday 5th April 2018

All schools in the Labasa area will remain closed today due to heavy rain and extensive flooding in the area.

The Ministry of Education and disaster officials will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates as to when schools can be safely reopened for students and teachers.

All parents in the Northern Division are advised to cautiously assess the weather and use their discretion before sending their children to school today.
