Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says all assistance are freebies because they come free from the Government but it is a necessity at this time because people are still recovering from the effects of COVID on employment, the downturn of the economy that we have suffered.
Rabuka has highlighted this while responding to a question on criticism that the $200 assistance being provided to parents earning less than $50,000 is a freebie.
He says a lot of people have difficulties and will need help.
