Good news as all heavy rain and flood warnings have been cancelled as Tropical Disturbance 01F moves out of the country.

The Nadi Weather Office says TD01F continues to weaken while moving East over the central Lau Group as it exits the country.

They add associated cloud and rain continue to affect the Eastern parts of Fiji, while a cool and dry southerly wind flow prevails over most of the country.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office has lifted the restriction on movements.

NDRMO says they continue to urge the general public to exercise caution while travelling to affected areas as the risks of landslides occurring is still high.

They are urging the public to stay alert due to the heightened risk of a rise in leptospirosis, typhoid, dengue fever, and diarrhoea cases after a flood.

NDRMO continues to encourage the public to practice good hygiene at all times to avoid getting sick, cover or store food and drinking water in clean closed containers and to boil all drinking water and not to eat spoiled food.
