Meanwhile, in the first quarter-final, England thrashed Australia 40-16 in the quarter-final.
Marika Koroibete scored for Australia but it wasn't enough as England proved too strong in the end.
England led Australia 17-9 at the break.
This was England's seventh win in a row over the Wallabies since the 2015 World Cup.
England coach Eddie Jones had said after the match that he had a soft spot for New Zealand and he would love to play New Zealand.
Looking at the quarter-finals tonight, Wales takes on France at 7.15 while South Africa plays Japan at 10.15.
