The All Blacks' new alternate half black half white jersey for their Test against France this weekend has drawn plenty of negative social media feedback.
All Blacks captain Kieran Read unveiled the new jersey on New Zealand television on Monday.
The alternate All Blacks jersey features a black chest and sleeves on top of a white lower half.
Reaction has ranged from asking if the strip is an away jersey or a throw away jersey and describing it as a half scratched scratchy.
The design has drawn some unfavourable comparisons to the ill fated silver and grey alternate jersey of the 2007 World Cup after New Zealand's quarterfinal 18 20 loss to France.
Rugbyshirtwatch.com has praised the jersey calling it dynamic and striking, unconventional yet still awesome.
But perhaps the most heartfelt comments to pop up on social media have been along the lines of "I don't care, as long as the All Blacks win".
The All Blacks will meet France at 9am Sunday while the Flying Fijians play Japan at 3.10am Sunday.
