All Blacks 7s coach Clark Laidlaw has named his final squad to defend the Melrose Cup in the 2022 Rugby Sevens World Cup in Cape Town next month.
Sam Dickson and Sione Molia are the co captains for the team while Akuila Rokolisoa gets the nod to play in his second World Cup.
The other players are Kurt Baker, Dylan Colllier, Scott Curry, Moses Leo, Ngarohi McGarvey-Black, Tone Ng Shiu, Amanaki Nicole, Lewis Ormond, Brady Rush, Caleb Tangitau and Regan Ware.
Laidlaw says the exciting part of the win in LA was the emergence of some players that do not always get a lot of game time which has tested their depth.
The All Blacks 7s is the defending champion of the Melrose Cup after they defeated England 33-12 in the final in 2018.
Meanwhile Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Ben Gollings is expected to name our final squad next week.
The Rugby Sevens World Cup will be held from the 9th to the 11th of next month in Cape Town, South Africa.
