15-time Grammy winner debuted her song "Good Job" during CNN's Global Town Hall to address the latest questions and concerns in the fight against COVID-19.
Key says the tune was originally written months ago to honour the unsung heroes in her life.
She told CNN that it was such a personal a poignant song, and every time she played it, she cried thinking her mother, thinking of her grandmother and thinking of friends of hers who can't make ends meet.
However as the pandemic swept the world, it occurred to her that the lyrics could also serve as a tribute to the health care professionals, frontline workers, parents, teachers and everyone else who has stepped up during this unprecedented time.
