33-year-old Krish Avikash Prasad says he is thankful for the Adult and Teen Challenge Fiji rehabilitation centre which saved his life.
The first of its kind rehabilitation centre is located in Lololo Lautoka.
Prasad who was introduced to drugs at a very young age while living in the United States says his parents took the family to the US in hopes of a better life, but unfortunately, he encountered drugs at an early age.
The 33-year-old says dealing drugs was the only thing he knew, which led to his arrest and a five-year prison sentence.
He says when he returned to Fiji, he found a good job, but it was not enough to keep him away from drugs, and he eventually resumed dealing and using them.
Prasad says his brother then introduced him to the Adult and Teen Challenge Fiji rehabilitation centre, where he enrolled in a program that transformed his life.
He also highlighted despite once feeling hopeless, he now feels full of hope, peace, and joy.
Prasad encourages those struggling with addiction to know that Adult and Teen Challenge Fiji is here to help them.
