Inspired by the acts of service and community, Selfless Fiji founder Solomone Rabuli started up the organisation and uses social media like Instagram and Facebook to engage and coordinate local volunteer efforts.

Wanting to make the world a better place also played a huge part in inspiring Rabuli to start up Selfless Fiji.

Rabuli says in the Pacific, we have a sort of communal way of doing things and we have always wanted to help one another in any sort of way we can.

He says the work in the organisation encourages volunteerism of any shape or form.

He adds they have been getting a lot of attraction through their social media pages and that has played a big part in their growth.

Rabuli says they have used reels and pictures calling out for volunteers and it has worked out well for them.

He says Selfless Fiji also create purpose and get people out of their shell and they get to meet a lot of people and create relationships along the way.

He also says it is a place where people can thrive and meet other people who have the same passion as them.

Rabuli says he always makes sure that everyone in the community feels they belong.

He says the organisation utilises the skills and the talent that most of these volunteers bring with them and it has made them feel like they are part of something really great.

He adds this is because everyone fits into where their passion lies.

Now a nonprofit, Selfless Fiji creates empowerment through the willingness to volunteer.
