The Acting Prime Minister and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has announced a pay rise for the staff Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority across the board.

While making this announcement, Sayed-Khaiyum says the staff of FRCA have 11 bands in their salary structure so on average they are getting about a 24 percent pay rise.

Sayed-Khaiyum says this pay rise brings about a very important point and it is that FRCA staff need to do their work diligently.

Sayed-Khaiyum says right people need to be paid the right salaries as no organisation will be successful if the people that are suppose to be implementing the mandate of the organisation are not doing their jobs.

He says going forward, the staff of FRCA will not get the same pay rise after this one, as it will then be simply performance based.
