A woman in her 60s and 39-year-old son passed away in a motor vehicle accident along Princes Road in Tacirua yesterday afternoon.
The woman’s son was the driver of the vehicle.
He allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road and hit a house before tumbling down a cliff.
Police say the woman and the son died at the scene while two other passengers were rushed to the CWM Hospital where they remain admitted.
The fourth passenger was medically examined at the Samabula Health Centre and sent home.
The national road death toll currently stands at 22 compared to 38 for the same period last year.
Police investigations continue.
