An access road to seven villages in Kadavu will be discussed at the Kadavu Provincial Council meeting next week.

Roko Tui Kadavu Eroni Vunisa said this access road will be one of the major proposed developments on the island as people in these villages still travel by boat to reach the main centre.

Vunisa also said the upgrading of some roads in Kadavu has been completed.

Meanwhile, the chiefs of Kadavu will visit the Naboro Correction Service tomorrow to show their support and give their assurance to the Kadavu inmates that they will be accepted back to their villages once they have completed their prison sentence.

Vunisa said arrangements have already been made with the relevant authority to bring all Kadavu inmates to one centre.

He said the Kadavu Provincial Council has made a decision that the visit is an annual event.

The Kadavu Provincial Council meeting will be held at Studio 6 next Tuesday.
