Assemblies of God Fiji General Superintendent, Reverend Mosese Cakau

Assemblies of God Fiji General Superintendent, Reverend Mosese Cakau says the Church echoes the comments made by Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, on same-sex marriage.

The Prime Minister had earlier stressed that same sex marriage will never be accepted in the country although there is big talk on human rights in Fiji.

Reverend Cakau says the church does not agree with same-sex marriage.

Reverend Cakau also spoke about pastors not being different from any other individual and this is the misconception that most people have.

Reverend Cakau says they are currently hosting the first ever AOG National Workshop on Prison Ministries at Calvary Temple which is also being attended by a few denominations.

He says this will allow them to have a comprehensive systematic way of assisting church members who go to minister in prisons.

He says this they have officials from Teens Challenge in America who are also facilitators.

Teen Challenge is a worldwide network of Christian faith‑based corporations intended to help teenagers, adults, and families with problems such as substance abuse or self‑destructive behavior.
