ANZ Fiji has announced it will match $2 for every dollar that staff donate through its Staff Foundation Workplace Giving Program, to double the difference it makes in the community.

ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam says over the past 13 years, they have donated more than $500,000 to local charities and it’s all thanks to their staff members who donate money from their salary each week, which ANZ matched dollar for dollar.

He says now with a $5 donation each fortnight, once ANZ matches this 2:1, it equates to $390 for the organisation in a year. Minam says imagine if 10 staff members do this ‑ that’s $3,900.

He says it is such a powerful way to donate and provides great benefits to their community partners.

Minam says their staff has also contributed more than 4,600 hours of volunteer leave. He says from school classroom maintenance to mangrove planting to cleaning the foreshore, their people don’t hesitate to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

He also says that this year, more than 4,200 people across Fiji also developed new skills, knowledge and confidence to manage money through ANZ’s flagship financial literacy program,

MoneyMinded.

ANZ will be launching a new independent report next week, highlighting the impact and benefits of MoneyMinded in Fiji.
