Attorney General and Minister for Education Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum says they are currently working on developing an app for the Tertiary Education Loan Scheme which will send students statements about their accounts.
While talking to students at a budget roadshow at FNU Natabua Campus, Sayed‑Khaiyum says this will bring about more accountability.
He says that there were issues in the past.
A student asked Sayed‑Khaiyum if the statements could be sent every trimester as a trimester has about 15 weeks.
Sayed‑Khaiyum told the student that they will take the suggestion on board and talk to the app developers.
