People caught selling pirated DVDs and music CDs will have to prove that their product is not pirated in the near future.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the government will soon start making changes to the video piracy legislation so that prosecution of pirates becomes more stringent and viable.

He said under the current legislation it is very difficult to apprehend and charge people who are responsible.
