ACS atheletes during the 2018 Coca-cola games

It has been confirmed that Coca-Cola Games defending girls champions, Adi Cakobau School will not take part in the Triple N Zone meet this year as majority of the schools in the zone have agreed not to have the qualifying athletics meet.

When questioned on how athletes from this zone will qualify to compete at the Coke Games, Triple N Zone Coordinator, Alivereti Tawake says they have notified schools to continue with training programs as they will be holding time trials once there has been a final confirmation of the Coca Cola Games dates from the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association.

Tawake says those who have qualified from the interhouse may not necessarily take part in the Coca Cola Games as they have to go through the time trials.

He has made it clear that all schools will need to run time trials once a date has been set.

Meanwhile, Fijivillage has received confirmation that ACS still wants the Triple N Zone meet to be held.

According to past zones, there can be from 15 to 21 schools taking part in the the Triple N athletics meet.
