Adi Cakobau School is leading the Girls Division of the Coca-Cola Games with 7 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze heading into the final day of competition.
Saint Joseph’s Secondary School is second with 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze, Jasper Williams High School is in third place with 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze while Xavier College is in fourth place with 3 gold and 1 bronze.
Ratu Kadavulevu School is leading the Boys Division with 8 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.
Marist is in second place with 4 gold, 11 silver and 4 bronze.
Suva Grammar School is in third place with 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze while Xavier is fourth with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
100 metres :
Kolinio Radrudru of RKS is the champion of the Senior Boys 100 metres race as he beat Natabua High School’s Nemani Mudrelagi who got silver while Josaia Bosoka of RKS took home bronze.
Radrudru had no issue in the race as he started well off the blocks and maintained his pace during the race. His time was 10.64 seconds.
Radrudru has dedicated his win to his late mother, who passed away when he was 13.
He says that he faced some peer pressure from his friends.
Radrudru says in all this he thanked God for taking him back to a school that encouraged him to lift his game and participate in this year’s Coca Cola Games.
Serenia Ragatu of ACS is the winner of the Senior Girls 100 metres after she beat Salote Baravilala of Jasper Williams High School and Fane Sauvakacolo of Suva Grammar.
Sauvakacolo got silver while Baravilala got bronze.
It was a very close race but Ragatu pulled through in the last ten metres. Ragatu’s time was 12.26 seconds.
Ragatu says that she did not expect to win the 100 metres final after falling sick two weeks before the Coke Games.
She has dedicated the win to her parents, coaches and fellow teammates for their endless support that has helped her win gold.
In the intermediate boys 100 metres race, Taniela Turaganikeli won gold, Lasarusa Senibale of Marist got silver while Benjamin Dickson of Grammar settled for bronze.
Natabua’s Alipate Vuiwakaya won gold in the Junior Boys 100 metres, Mesulame Tuigau of RKS took home silver while Netani Sakealevu of Suva Grammar settled for bronze.
Turaganikeli says he faced some personal issues but overcame it today when he finished in first place and won gold in the Intermediate Boys 100 metres final.
Turaganikeli says he dedicates his win to his mother.
In the Junior Girls, Saint Joseph’s Tokosa Gukirewa won gold in the Junior Girls 100 metres final, Sereana Vulaono of LDS College settled for silver while Jemimah Rabo of ACS won bronze.
Peniana Koroiwaqalevu of Jasper had a strong finish in the Sub Junior Girls 100 metres final winning gold, Tavua District High School’s Mereani Balei settled for silver while David Chloe of Suva Grammar won bronze.
400 metres boys finals :
After deliberations on a photo finish, Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Josua Koro and Nikola Raiqeu of Saint John’s College were tied for a gold medal each in the Senior Boys 400 metres final.
Lepani Baticuvu of RKS won the bronze medal.
Richard Elder of RKS won gold in the Intermediate Boys 400 metres final, Aminio Tuilevu of Cuvu College won the silver medal while Meli Romuakalou of Suva Grammar School settled for the bronze.
Ronald Sharma of Cuvu College came from behind to win gold in the Junior Boys 400 metres final, George Simpson of Suva Grammar School settled for silver while Tomasi Tuitatava of Natabua High School will settle for the bronze.
Iliesa Ratubalavu of Cuvu College has edged RKS to win gold in the Sub Junior Boys 400 metres final, Kolinio Kadaoca of RKS settled for the silver while Akuila Cegudrau of Lekutu Secondary School from Bua won the bronze.
400 metres girls finals :
Ba Sangam’s Melai Ralagakali had a strong finish to win gold in the Senior Girls 400 metres final, Jasper’s Vani Buleka settled for silver while Sereana Raloga of ACS won bronze.
Varanisese Kalisiana of Vaturova Koroalau High School from Savusavu created an upset in the Intermediate Girls 400 metres finals winning gold while Ana Kaitoga of ACS settled for silver and Ulamila Koroisavou of ACS won bronze.
Adi Cakobau School’s Kesaia Bole-taka-na-kadavu finished in first place in the Junior Girls, Roela Kaloumaira of Namosi Secondary School settled for silver while Merele-sita Qoro of Sigatoka Valley High School won bronze.
Melania Ranadi of ACS has won gold in the Sub-Junior Girls 400 metres, Melania Seru of Jasper settled for silver while Lute Vananalagi of ACS took out the bronze.
800 metres boys finals :
Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Petero Tuisiga and Joeli Ravulo have bagged gold and silver in the Senior Boys 800 metres final while Sitiveni Aiwete of Uluivalili Secondary School from Savusavu won the bronze medal.
Pio Rauwa of Namosi Secondary School beat the favourite in the 800 metres Intermediate Boys final to win gold, Abraham Mallam of Suva Grammar School won the silver while Jone Petero of Uluivalili Secondary School won the bronze medal.

Peni Lebaivalu of Vaturova Koroalau High School from Savusavu won gold in the Junior Boys 800 metres final, Rayash Kumar of Labasa College will take home the silver medal while Rupeni Sena of Naiyala Secondary School from Tailevu won the bronze medal.
Ashbal Ali of Dreketi High School edged Marist Brothers High School’s George Koroinasau at the finish line to win gold in the Sub Junior Boys 800 metres final.
Marist’s Koroinasau settled for silver while Sefanaia Tokaduadua of Sigatoka Methodist High School got the bronze medal.
800 metres girls finals :
Melaia Ralagakali of Ba Sangam Secondary School won gold in the Senior Girls 800 metres final, Vani Loloma of ACS had to settle for silver while Priyanka Singh of Suva Grammar got bronze.
Linieta Bokadi and Naibena Tuilawaki bagged gold and silver respectively for ACS in the Intermediate Girls 800 metres final while Natabua’s Makereta Atelaite took the bronze medal.

Namosi Secondary School has won gold and bronze in the Junior Girls 800 metres final.
Salome Vatawabai of Namosi Secondary School finished strongly to claim gold and leaves Jasper Williams High School’s Melania Turaga to settle for the silver while Josifini Ana got the bronze medal for Namosi Secondary School.
Alefina Volavola of Ba Methodist High School won gold in the Sub Junior Girls 800 metres, Raijeli Tabua of Nasau Central Secondary School from Tavua won the silver and Uluivalili Secondary School’s Kinisimere Ranadi will take the bronze to Savusavu.
Field events :
Suva Grammar’s Darcy Commick won gold in the Senior Boys Javelin.
He had won the event last year with Niusawa Methodist High School of Taveuni.
Timoci Tukana of Ratu Sukuna Memorial School got silver while Napolioni Suguvanua from Ratu Latianara Secondary School took home the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Orisi Navavau of Marist won gold in the Intermediate Boys Shot Put with a record throw of 15.99 metres.
Jesse Stolz also of Marist settled for silver while Nathaniel Tuilaucala of RKS got bronze.

Marist Brothers High School is now leading the boys division of the 2019 Coca-Cola Games as Christian Taukei won gold for Marist in the Sub Junior Boys Shot Put earlier today.
Marist’s Josefo Qalovi won the silver medal while Jeremaia Vukivanua of Suva Grammar School takes home the bronze medal.
Taukei says that he did not expect to win a medal and has dedicated his gold medal win to his parents and the Marist teachers.
Looking at the boys division Legend FM/FM96 Medal Tally, Marist is leading with 2 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals.
RKS is in second place with 2 gold and 2 silver and 1 bronze.
Visa Vakatuinaiau of RKS won gold in the Sub Junior Boys Long Jump, Benjamin Joseph of Marist Brothers High School won silver while Viliame Naliva of Xavier College took out the bronze medal.
Vakatuinaiau says this is his first time to compete in the Coca-Cola Games and when he saw that Marist was leading the jump, this pushed him to give it his all to win gold.
He also dedicated the win to his mother.
Suva Grammar School and Xavier College are in third place on the medal tally with 2 gold and 1 bronze.
Tavua College is next with 2 gold.
Xavier athlete Jone Sukulu got gold in the Senior Boys Long Jump. RKS athlete Aporosa Taqiri settled for silver while Paula Nasara of Cuvu College got bronze.
Marist took the gold and silver in the Junior Boys Shot Put. Iowane Qalovi took out the gold medal while Nalani May won the silver for the boys from Flagstaff. Eroni Nabulagi of QVS took out the bronze medal.
Suva Grammar School’s Kaiava Francis has taken out the gold medal in the Intermediate Boys High Jump. Kaitu Kaitu of Marist settled for the silver medal while Suliasi Rika of Natabua High won the bronze medal.
Francis who won bronze in the same event last year has dedicated his win to his parents, aunts and old scholars of Suva Grammar School.
Jone Seru of Tailevu North College has claimed the gold medal in the Intermediate Boys Javelin.
Jone Vosabalavu of Marist Brothers High School won the silver medal while Yavaki Naivalulevu of Cicia High School will take the bronze medal back to Lau.
Rupeni Savu of Kadavu Provincial Secondary is taking the gold medal to Kadavu after winning the Junior Boys Javelin, Sulio Naibe of Napuka Secondary School from Savusavu takes home the silver to the Hidden Paradise while Eremodo Liganivai of RKS settled for the bronze medal.
Earlier today, Tavua College student, Yeshnil Karan caused a major upset again today after he beat the favourite, Petero Veitaqomaki of Marist Brothers High School in the 3000 metres.
Karan has dedicated his win to his parents who unfortunately were not able to travel to Suva due to the weather.
The Tavua College student also won the Senior Boys 1500 metres yesterday and beat favourite, Veitaqomaki.
Karan says one of the difficulties he endured during the training was the rainy weather in Yaladro, Tavua.
He says he was confident that he will do something great.

Filomena Korosaya of Saint Joseph’s won gold in the Junior Girls Discus. The silver medal went to Reap Vunidakua of RSMS while May Kaora of Saint Joseph’s takes home the bronze medal.
Jasper Williams High School is in third place with 2 gold and 1 silver and 1 bronze.
Xavier College from Ba is in fourth place with 2 gold and 1 bronze.
Shawntell Lockington of Xavier won gold in the Senior Girls High Jump in the last hour, Tuliana Tinai of Jasper took the silver medal while Josifini Tinai-rokowaqa of Grammar took the bronze medal.
She broke the record with a jump of 1.68 metres.
Lockington dedicates her record win in the Senior Girls High Jump to her cousin who died of blood cancer on Palm Sunday.
Lockington also pointed out that training and competing with her sister Lisa who won the first gold medal in the Sub Junior Girls High Jump yesterday has brought them closer together as siblings.
Loata Nagulagi of Jasper won gold in the Intermediate Girls Shot Put, Phylippa Pickering of Saint Joseph’s Secondary School settled for the silver medal while Josifini Tinaisaqa won the bronze medal for Duavata Secondary School from Macuata.
Rateri Matevakatini of Jasper won gold in the Senior Girls Triple Jump, Fane Sauvakacolo of Suva Grammar settled for the silver medal while Maritina Naisulu of Xavier College from Ba is taking home the bronze.
Suva Grammar School’s Senirewa Cakacaka has won the first gold medal for the Grammar girls in the Sub Junior Girls Discus.
Joy Wise of ACS won the silver medal while Faith Kukusei of Jasper is taking home the bronze medal.
Loraini Vunakece of Tailevu North College outran the favourite of the Open Girls 3000 metres event to win the first gold medal on Day 2 of the Coca-Cola Games.
Adi Cakobau School’s Camari Adilasaqa who won gold in the same event last year settled for the silver medal while Mereani Vakalolo of Seaqaqa Central College won the bronze medal.
