Co-Chairperson of the African Caribbean Pacific and European Union joint parliamentary assembly, Fitz Jackson has attributed the improvement in co-operation among ACP countries and the EU to the super hospitality of the Fijian people.
He says the super hospitality of the Fijian people may have infused the greater spirit of co-operation that has been witnessed in Fiji over the past few days.
Jackson says this spirit of co-operation will further unify countries around the ACP and EU region.
An urgent resolution calling for further assistance to be given to Cyclone Pam affected countries was adopted after the ACP-EU joint parliamentary assembly meeting finished which yesterday.
These countries are Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Kiribati and the Solomon Islands.
The resolution calls for the international community to continue and to increase the mobilization of resources such as sanitation, housing, school and communication assistance.
