A heavy rain alert remains in force for Viti Levu , Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Lau and the Lomaiviti Group.
A flood alert also remains in force for low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to and downstream of Navala River in Ba, Korovou , Waimanu and Bagata River in Savusavu.
The Nadi Weather Office a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the country and people can expect heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Heavy rain can cause flash flooding of low lying areas.
The Weather Office says the system is expected to clear by Thursday.
