A businessman and 2 juveniles appear in court for allegedly playing basketball in Namaka, Nadi

19 people including three juveniles who allegedly breached COVID-19 related restrictions in the Western Division have been released on bail.

Three people which includes 37-year old businessman Cheng Fez and two juveniles both aged 16 who were arrested for allegedly playing basketball in Namaka, Nadi have been released on a bail bond of $1,000.

They have been ordered to surrender their passports and the case will be called on the 25th of this month.

16 other people appeared in court for curfew breaches.

Varasika Tuilawa and Rohit Sharma who allegedly breached curfew in Namaka, Nadi have been released on a bail bond of $1000 and have been placed on a 8pm to 5am curfew.

Niumaia Stark, Tom Stark, Laite Nakadrudru, Siliveni Bokini, Mosese Taligawai, Mosese Talei, Ilaitia Beka, Akata Tinai, Tabua Lesumaimaivalu, Gadget Matasawalevu, Kelemedi Waqa, Inoke Matua and a juvenile who were arrested in Lautoka for allegedly breaching curfew have been released on a bail bond of $500.

They all have been ordered not to offend and their cases will be called on the 27th of July.
