Fiji's Biggest Morning Team cancer campaign with Bushells

990 cancer patients have been assisted through accessing services provided by the Fiji Cancer Society in 2017.

This has been highlighted by Fiji Cancer Society CEO, Belinda Chan who adds that they have conducted a week long outreach around Viti Levu screening a total of 300 women.

20 of these patients were given referrals to divisional hospital in Viti Levu.

Fiji Cancer Society President, Philip Low says they raised a total of $60,000 through the Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea campaign aimed to raise funds to assist people battling cancer last year.

While speaking at the launch of the campaign at Motibhai Company in Suva, Low highlighted that well over 1,200 new cases of cancer are recorded annually.

Cancer is the third main cause of deaths in Fiji.

Motibhai Group Marketing Manager, Abraham Gomes says they will host their morning tea to raise money for cancer on the 3rd of next month at 10am.
