Nine teachers from Fiji are part of the 2023 AISSP (Association of International Schools in the South Pacific) Educator Conference that is currently underway at the International School Suva.
US Ambassador Marie Damour gave an inspiring welcome speech at the opening of the conference where she highlighted that positive collaboration between international schools throughout the South Pacific region to provide international curriculum and standards in the six nations represented.
The conference keynote speaker is Sybil Hall from Colorado State in the US, and she spoke about Technology Integration, a vital issue in global education.
Other conference themes and sessions cover are International Mindedness, Inclusion for a Diverse Learning Environment, and Child Protection with speakers from Fiji and the region.
AISSP intends to hold regular conferences in the future and to strengthen professional resources for all its member schools in the South Pacific.
