With the long Easter weekend upon us, families in the western division can have a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in cultural celebrations as the 81st Annual Andhra Convention kicks off today.
The Dakshina India Andhra Sangam of Fiji is encouraging people to enjoy three days of the event, which has the theme of “Embracing traditions, Strengthening Heritage and Uniting Communities.”
The convention will be held from today until Sunday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
The event started with a march from Nadi Temple to King Charles Park this morning, and there will also be a sports tournament for the next three days.
Meanwhile, a cultural programme will be held at the Nadi Sangam School Hall this evening.
