Eight people have been taken to the Korovou Hospital after their involvement in an accident around midday today.
Police say a container trailer was involved in an accident with a minibus near Lokuya Hill before Verata Junction along Kings Road.
They say both drivers and six passengers from the minibus were conveyed to Korovou Hospital for medical treatment. Fiji Police Force Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, is calling on all Public Service Vehicle (PSV) drivers to be vigilant while on the road.
SSP Divuana says this is the second incident this week involving PSVs and innocent passengers are becoming victims on our roads.
Investigation into the accident continues.
