Eight Fijiana 7s players from the Rugby 7s World Cup squad will be joining the Rooster Chicken Fijiana 15s camp next week in preparation for the Women's Rugby World Cup in New Zealand next month.

This was confirmed by Fijiana coach Senirusi Seruvakula.

He says the 7s players have shown their interest to play for the 15s team, however, they will still have to fight for their spot in the squad.

The 8 players are Rusila Nagasau, Reapi Uluinasau, Vasiti Solikoviti, Ana Maria Naimasi, Sesenieli Donu, Verenaisi Bari, Lavena Cavuru and Aloesi Nakoci.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 15s side thrashed the Army Women's side 47-0 in a warm-up match at Albert Park today.

The Women's Rugby World Cup will be held from 8th October to 12th November.
