70 vulnerable women and students of Makoi Muslim Vocational Centre will be able to celebrate a more memorable Eid as they received $7,000 worth of food vouchers.
The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Fiji, Nor' Azam Mohammed Idrus, says in line with their commitment to uplift communities in need, they have collaborated with the Fiji Muslim League and the Spirit of Endeavour, to make the voucher handover ceremony a reality.
He says the generosity serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all.
He further says as Fijians look forward to celebrating Eid, people need to be united in the celebration of giving and extending their hands to those in need.
He adds the $100 MH food voucher contribution will ease the burden of the financial challenges faced by students at the Makoi Women's Vocational Training Centre and the vulnerable women in the Southern Division.
The High Commissioner further says that this is also a small token of their dedication to their social responsibilities.
