61 percent of those graduating from the University of the South Pacific today and tomorrow are women.
This has been stated by the USP Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Pal Ahluwalia during the graduation ceremony at the Vodafone Arena.
Professor Ahluwalia says 1,786 students will be graduating during the four-sessions of graduation.
He says 204 students are graduating in Postgraduate programmes.
The Vice-Chancellor reminded the graduates to reflect on the values that have brought them this far and those that would guide them forward.
Tomorrow, USP will hold its last two graduation sessions for students from the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics and the School of Law and Social Sciences to receive their accreditation in the morning.
It will be followed by the afternoon graduation session for the Pacific Technical and Further Education.
