60 children with congenital heart disease have received a new lease of life, since the opening of the Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in April.
During the 6th anniversary of the Sai Prema Foundation, Medical Director Dr Krupali Tappoo says the medical centre was inaugurated to provide free and quality medical care to the people and has seen over 18,000 patients.
She says more than 4,000 children have already received free echo-cardiograms.
Dr Tappoo says the foundation is engaged in many other programmes like feeding, providing ration packs to needy families, community outreach programs, free general medical, dental consultation and providing free medication to children.
She says the surgeries are ongoing and health professionals from India will be providing the services.
