The Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay has invited six primary schools to the resort to create sustainable and decorative Christmas Tree ornaments using local resources such as pine cones or drift wood, which will be displayed on the main Christmas Tree in the lobby.
Fiji Marriott says they will officially begin the festive season tomorrow with the annual tree lighting ceremony.
The Marriott has also asked guests, associates and the local community to attend and witness Santa’s arrival and enjoy the Christmas Carols.
It says the festive theme this year ‘A Fijian Christmas’ is aligned with the hotels sustainability initiatives to support the local community during these unprecedented times, through ‘Solia Lesu’, ‘Love Our Locals’ campaign.
The hotel will also hand out shoe gift voucher as part of its traditional Christmas art competition which is in support of primary schools located in the Momi Bay area.
It is now a hotel tradition to donate one pair of shoes for each student starting year one, as part of the Serve 360 initiative, Marriott’s Sustainability and Social Impact Commitment.
