Since COVID-19, there has been a huge backlog of elective cases, and the teams are doing their best in trying to make sure that the patients are receiving their care.
CWM Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Luke Nasedra made the comments to fijivillage News after we asked why only 6 out of 8 operating theatres are operational at the CWM Hospital.
Dr Nasedra says one way they are finding to keep up with the backlog is looking at extra surgery opening hours.
He further says equipment is the reason why the 2 theatres are not operational but they are hoping to fix that soon.
