6 men missing in Dreketi Waters have been found and are safe

The six people who were reported missing in Dreketi Waters have been found and are safe.

These 6 people include fishermen from Nadakeke Settlement in Dreketi and Naduri Village in Seaqaqa and farmers from Nabavatu Village in Dreketi.

The men went out diving in Dreketi Waters in a 23 feet fibre glass boat on Friday night and were supposed to return yesterday morning but failed to do so.

Police say communication was made with one of the men early this morning whereby Police were informed that due to adverse weather conditions they had sheltered with another fishing crew nearby.

All six men are now safely back with their families.
