Two men and a woman were arrested yesterday after the Police K9 and Detector Dog Unit discovered methamphetamine, suspected stolen property, and foreign and local currencies during a raid in Raiwai.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu confirmed that the three were among six people arrested during separate drug snap checks across Fiji.
ACP Driu further says officers at a Bagasau roadblock discovered a black bag containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana, while another operation in Sabeto led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of similar substances.
He says in Navua, a 35-year-old man was allegedly found with methamphetamine and marijuana during a stop-and-search operation, while another man was arrested for possessing marijuana.
Police have confirmed that all seized substances have been sent for analysis and that joint raids will continue nationwide.
