Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says that 5,681 Elections Officials have signed their contracts while there are about 3,547 officials yet to sign their contract.

Saneem is urging staff that have not signed their contracts to make their way to their venues and sign their contracts.

Saneem says they are now initiating the second phase of the elections official’s recruitment program for the 2018 General Elections and theme of this phase is Election Officials Continuos Engagement Program.

He says this a very important program, as an election can be announced at any point in time, and therefore they would like to maintain the link and partnership with their election officials, as they progress towards finding out the election date.

He says from this Wednesday till Saturday they will be distributing the 2018 General Elections Official’s manual.

Saneem adds that to assist the officials in making the journey and collecting the manuals, the Elections Office will be paying each elections official who collect the manuals $15.

Saneem says this $15 will not be deducted from the officials final pay.
