A 53-year-old goat and sheep farmer from the interiors of Vanua Levu has for the first time secured deals for goat sales in the Central Division for Christmas.
Mohammed Aiyub Khan of Daku, Labasa says this year he has confirmed buyers in Suva and is expecting to make a profit of about $7,000.
Khan says in the past years he had sold his goats and sheep at Labasa market but this Christmas has opened new doors for him.
The father of four says he has more than 250 goats and 70 sheep at his farm.
Khan says he will use the money to expand his farm and do a big Christmas shopping for his family.
