Fifty secondary schools will be participating in the IQ Active 2024 competition with more than 200 students.
This is also the first time the IQ Active competition will include Maritime and Northern schools.
There are five maritime and 12 northern schools.
While launching the competition, the Permanent Secretary for Education, Selina Kuruleca, said the competition will motivate students and allow them to explore different subjects.
Kuruleca says it will encourage and nurture critical thinking for students but also enhance them with new problem-solving skills and capabilities.
The Permanent Secretary says in an era of the internet, such competition allows young minds to analyse as a team.
She also acknowledged Fiji TV for bringing the competition back.
The Central and Western Schools will be confirmed after the preliminary rounds.
IQ Active will air on the 7th of October.
