496 athletes and officials will represent Fiji in the 2023 Pacific Games

496 Team Fiji athletes and officials will be travelling to the 17th 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands.

Chef de Mission, Ajay Ballu says it is the biggest squad that will be travelling for the Pacific Games.

Ballu says Fiji will be participating in 25 different sports.

He says 53 percent of the athletes are males and 47 percent females.

General Manager for Pacific Games, Wayne O'Connor says the Pacific Games will be an Olympics qualifier for a few sports including Archery, Swimming, 7s Rugby, Boxing and Athletics.

The first group will leave our shores on the 14th of November while the second group will leave on the 22nd of November.

The 2023 Pacific Games will be held in Honiara from the 19th of November to the 2nd of December 2023.
